Rated for use in motorcycles (JASO-MA), handles it pretty well. Much less expensive than other similar motorcycle-rated synthetics. The Yamaha community knows and loves this oil. Also use it in my turbocharged gasoline car - does just fine there. It meets JASO MA, for not having friction modifiers which are harmful to wet clutches in motorcycle engines. A lot of Ducati owners seem to swear by this oil as well, but I am not sure if they are all water-cooled riders. I ran the T6 briefly in my air-cooled 696 because it would slip the clutch by over 1000 RPM for nearly half a second after WOT upshifts. The datalog from my Ducati data acquisition unit showed the slippage with my throttle closing, so it wasn't my technique. Doing further research showed that Ducati recommended 10W-40 from 2001-2007 for most of its motorcycles. Starting in 2008, the owner manuals for its air-cooled Monster 696, Hypermotard, Multistrada as well as the water-cooled 1098/1198 and Desmosedici RR bikes stipulated the use of 15W-50 (doesn't matter if it was wet or dry... Some common brands (Mobil 1) have additives that are great for motors, but not the clutch and transmission. I ride a Honda VTX 1300 and this oil is perfect.
