Oil stands up to really solid abuse. Rated for use in motorcycles (JASO-MA), handles it pretty well. Much less expensive than other similar motorcycle-rated synthetics. The Yamaha community knows and loves this oil. Also use it in my turbocharged gasoline car - does just fine there. Solid alternative to lesser-performing, more expensive (but better marketed) mainstream oils.

Shell Rotella T6 Synthetic 5W-40 Engine Oil
I purchased a bunch of the T6 for my Ducati Monster 696 based on everyone's recommendations for using T6 in motorcycles. It meets JASO MA, for not having friction modifiers which are harmful to wet clutches in motorcycle engines. A lot of Ducati owners seem to swear by this oil as well, but I am not sure if they are all water-cooled riders. I ran the T6 briefly in my air-cooled 696 because it would slip the clutch by over 1000 RPM for nearly half a second after WOT upshifts. The datalog from my Ducati data acquisition unit showed the slippage with my throttle closing, so it wasn't my technique.
Doing further research showed that Ducati recommended 10W-40 from 2001-2007 for most of its motorcycles. Starting in 2008, the owner manuals for its air-cooled Monster 696, Hypermotard, Multistrada as well as the water-cooled 1098/1198 and Desmosedici RR bikes stipulated the use of 15W-50 (doesn't matter if it was wet or dry... This is my favorite synthetic for my big v-twin motorcycle. Some common brands (Mobil 1) have additives that are great for motors, but not the clutch and transmission. I ride a Honda VTX 1300 and this oil is perfect. Excellent lubrication and does not cause my clutch to slip or chatter.

This product works. I can sit here and try to explain the how's and why's, but they do all of that at www.tufoil.com for you to read. Instead, i'll just say that i've tried TONS of other oil additives, run high dollar racing synthetics, etc... and NOTHING has given me the results that Tufoil does. VERY noticeable increase in gas mileage, car runs smoother with better acceleration, lower operating temp, etc... All of this is quite obvious, so you don't have to try to convince yourself that you "think" that it's working. Unlike bigger name brands that have to sell you hype through marketing, Tufoil simply sells you a product that works.

I've been using Tufoil since 1998. Tufoil holds the Guinness World Record for the slickest substance on the planet. The main ingredient in Tufoil is PTFE, the prime element in DuPont's Teflon. Tufoil company discovered a way to break apart PTFE particles into extremely small particles, down around 0.5-1.0 microns. Other PTFE-based products can be hazardous to engines because the particles are very large and have a tendency to build up and block tiny oil passages. Tufoil's PTFE particles are so small that an electron microscope has to be used to see them, and blockage doesn't happen.
Tufoil conducted stress tests on around 50 engine additive products with a 4-ball wear test machine. A spinning shaft is pressed against by four static ball bearings. The shaft is coated with the test oil for a certain amount of time, then the shaft's scar is measured. Another test is to see how long the shaft will spin until the additive smokes away. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
I've been using TufOil for about 17 years. First on a Nissan Sentra that gave me about 205,000 miles before I gave it to my mother. She rode it for a bit longer. The car was put to rest eventually due to body rust -- NOT engine problems.
I am currently driving a 97 Nissan Maxima with 248,000 miles! Again, no engine problems whatsoever! The car is starting to suffer from loose suspension, etc., but the engine is in EXCELLENT condition. It doesn't burn any oil, no knocking, etc. The engine runs extremely quietly. I expect the engine to last at least until 300,000 miles -- I hope the body can keep up!
I believe this product has the same basic principle as Slick50. Unlike Slick50 where you add a quart every 50,000 miles, you add 4 ounces of TufOil with each oil change.

This product worked very well. I had a about a 1/4 inch wide, 1 inch long hole in a still solid exhaust pipe. I would not expect any product to permanently seal a hole that large without being somewhat supported, so I didn't try. After filling the hole with the putty, I put two hose clamps [band type] side by side over the hole area and tightened them down while the putty was still wet. I started the engine and let it idle for 20 minutes to cure and harden the putty [idle only, don't step on the throttle]. I drove off the next morning to work and it is still leak free over one year later. I'm very pleased. Thanks, Mike

I had a hole(well, more of a cut/slice) in my exhaust. I put a large amount of the putty on it and you are supposed to start the engine(no high revs) so the heat from the exhaust will speed up the hardening of the putty. The problem is the putty would "melt" at first and just spit and sputter out of the hole and not seal up. After it heated up then it would harden. I had to apply several coats after each one dried from the exhaust so each time the hole would get smaller and smaller. I think this putty is best used with the exhaust wrap repair so that it will help it stay in place and not blow out from the exhaust pressure. 3 months later and it is still holding...
